Welcome to Earth Care
Earth Care seeks to listen to and work with all concerned religious communities and individuals in order to create an ever-widening circle of care for creation.
We urge all Indiana’s faith communities to be centers of this care by living more prudently and speaking up for policies that embody creation care. We invite all Hoosiers of faith to join in this sacred responsibility.
Earth Care brings Hoosiers of faith together to help curb global climate change by educating, acting, and speaking up. We now include twenty-one faith communities as members and welcome new members including congregations, congregational greening groups and individuals. We have two goals, to:
- Cut average per person personal energy use in Indiana by at least 10%.
- Shift Indiana towards renewable energy sources and away from coal.
Earth Care provides faith communities with six free services to help cut personal and congregational energy use and to help them speak out effectively for earth-friendly energy policy.
